Gr.1 QIPCO Champion Stakes on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse.

Royal Ascot remains the pinnacle of global racing, with its 8 Group 1 races & 19 Group races in total across the week amounting to the biggest concentration of quality across one meeting anywhere in the world.

Over past 6 years, Royal Ascot has attracted runners from 10 countries including 6 outside Europe.

It’s the finest of racing, from five furlongs to two and a half miles, and such a variation of quality in these races is superb but it’s the variation of the types of races that makes it so interesting.

John Gosden, trainer

If you are in the racing game for the love of the sport, Royal Ascot is one of those events that you only hope you can have a horse run at.

David Bernsen, owner, USA

As a horseman, I want to win races in the UK with Japanese horses. It is a dream and a real honour for us to have runners at Royal Ascot. Many people think the Arc is the pinnacle, but I think many of the best sire-making races are in the UK.

Yasuhiro Matsumoto, Manager of Northern Farm, Japan

Royal Ascot is the pinnacle for me. The pageantry of it all, the quality of the horses, the food and beverage, the building itself and the royal family. It has everything that you could possibly want at a horse racing event.

Bobby Flay, Celebrity Chef and racehorse owner, USA

This is my favourite week of the year. Every one of the days is like Christmas.

Wesley Ward, trainer, USA

The Cheltenham Festival is recognised worldwide as the pinnacle of the jump race calendar.

It is National Hunt racing's Olympics and the meeting is the envy of every jumps association in the world, and it's not hard to see why that is.
