Federation of Bloodstock Agents

A bloodstock agent is an independent professional who is available to advise and assist a client, for an agreed fee, in all matters connected with thoroughbred racing and breeding. Bloodstock agents are able to provide a wide range of services including attendance at all major sales, advice on purchase of stock particularly with regard to conformation and pedigree, stud management and mating plans, valuations, representing clients at race meetings and regular reporting on clients’ horses and advising on sale of stock privately or at auction.

The Federation of Bloodstock Agents (FBA) aims to establish and maintain a high level of conduct and trading practice amongst Federation members, and to instil confidence in clients who wish to use a member of the Federation with bloodstock agents expected to subscribe to the ethics of the Federation.
