Dive into the breeding season with an insight into some of Britain's most exciting stallions
The Northern Hemisphere breeding season begins on Tuesday 14th February. It is no secret that Britain is home to world-leading stallions such as FRANKEL (GB) and DUBAWI with a total of 12 Group 1 producing sires standing in Britain in 2023.
A host of exciting stallions were on show at the recent Thoroughbred Breeders' Association National Hunt Stallion Showcase at Goffs UK in Doncaster including Overbury Stud's Golden Horn and Alne Park's Ocovango and the Thoroughbred Breeders Association Flat Stallion Parade at Tattersalls in Newmarket saw 18-time Group winner Stradivarius parade for The National Stud.
GBRI was in attendance to talk to stud managers during the two events to gather their thoughts, impressions and updates on their stallions.
