THE GOFFS LONDON SALE 2023

Image

The Goffs London Sale, a boutique thoroughbred sale held in the picturesque Kensington Palace Gardens, has been the unofficial curtain raiser to Royal Ascot since 2014.

Attended annually by buyers from around the world, the sale has added plenty to the prestige and quality associated with this most special of weeks in the global racing calendar.

As ever, the 2023 sale offers the opportunity to purchase a horse to run in your colours at Royal Ascot the very same week.

This year, the catalogue also offers a breeding right to high-flying British stallion, HAVANA GREY (GB).

Horses purchased at the Goffs London Sale in recent years have gone on to win multiple Group races around the world, from the UK all the way to Australia.

The 2023 renewal will be held at 5.00pm BST on Monday 19th June after a garden party that will begin at 3.00pm BST. Please note that access to the sale is strictly by invitation only and prospective purchasers should contact Goffs to register their interest.

Agent’s Commission of 5% will again be offered and will be paid to the successful purchaser provided they are a recognised bloodstock agent and/or licensed trainer.

Two-year-old entries for this year's renewal include:
Lot 4: HALA EMARAATY - Two wins from two starts (entry in Listed Windsor Castle Stakes)
Lot 8: GIVEMETHEBEATBOYS - Gr.3 winner (entry in Gr.2 Coventry Stakes)
Lot 11: NO NAY METS - Winner of the Royal Palm Juvenile Stakes in the USA, a Royal Ascot 2yo race qualifier (entry in Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes)

TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP FOR ROYAL ASCOT ENTRIES

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and Weatherbys will work with the new owners of any horse purchased at the Goffs London Sale with a Royal Ascot engagement to process the change of ownership in time for the horse to race in its new owner's colours.

In preparation, anybody wishing to purchase a horse with an entry for Royal Ascot must already be registered as an owner with the BHA in order for the horse to run in their name. If the owner is registered with another recognised Racing Authority this must be verified in advance of the sale by contacting Weatherbys Ownership Desk on +44 1933 440077. The full details of the ownership transfer arrangements can be downloaded here.

Further information about the sale can be found on the Goffs London Sale website.
