THE TATTERSALLS GUINEAS BREEZE UP SALE KICKS OFF ON WEDNESDAY

The Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale kicks off on Wednesday in Newmarket and provides a great opportunity to purchase two-year-olds that can be ready to race within weeks.

Graduates of last year's Guineas Breeze Up Sale such as HOT FUSS and WARNIE raced at Royal Ascot in June after being purchased in May. Group 1 winners such as SHANTISARA, THE PLATINUM QUEEN and TRUESHAN are all recent graduates of the sale.

Multiple Group 1 winners have been sold at the Guineas Breeze Up Sale in recent years, including TRUESHAN whose impressive resumé includes three Group 1 victories and four Group 2 successes. He was purchased for 31,000gns and has now earned nearly £2,000,000 in prize money.

THE PLATINUM QUEEN also showcased the quality on offer at the sale, selling in April 2022 for 57,000gns before securing the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye in October for Richard Fahey and Middleham Park Racing. She was then re-sold for 1,200,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale later that year.

Other recent top performers from the sale include American Grade 1 winner SHANTISARA, Scandinavian Group 3 winner HARD ONE TO PLEASE and dual Italian Listed winning juvenile MYSTERIOUS SHADOW.

The Guineas Breeze Up Sale will take place after the Guineas Horses in Training Sale, which includes an unraced three-year-old colt out of LAURENS and multiple lots by leading stallions DUBAWI, FRANKEL (GB) and KINGMAN (GB).
