GARRARD NAMED OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF TEAM BRITISH RACING

Internationally renowned British jeweller, Garrard, and Great British Racing International (GBRI) announce a new sponsorship deal which will see Garrard as official partner of Team British Racing. The GBRI marketing initiative has grown year-on-year since its inception and is now a very well recognised brand within the sport.

Team British Racing was established by GBRI to highlight the participation and success of British trainers when they have horses competing globally at premier race meetings, with the aim of promoting Britain’s world-leading trainers to an international audience. GBRI is the dedicated service provider and industry body dedicated to guiding and growing global investment into British horseracing by helping international parties to navigate the esteemed networks of the industry.

In 2023 so far, Team British Racing representatives have included MOSTAHDAF who won the Neom Turf Cup at The Saudi Cup meeting for John and Thady Gosden, and DUBAI HONOUR, a dual Group 1 winner in Australia for William Haggas.

Founded in 1735, Garrard has long been associated with the world of horseracing. Official Trophies and Silverware supplier to Royal Ascot, Britain’s most prestigious horse racing event, Garrard crafted the very first Gold Cup in 1842. The winner is allowed to keep the trophy in perpetuity, with Garrard creating a new Gold Cup each year.

For four consecutive years, Garrard has also created a new sterling silver winner’s cup for the Bahrain International Trophy horserace and, in 2021, designed and crafted the Saudi Cup. Gilded in 24ct gold, this perpetual trophy is awarded each year to the winner of what is known as “The World’s Most Valuable Horserace”.

The newly branded Team British Racing kit, including the eye-catching Union Jack flag horse rugs featuring Garrard’s logo, will launch at the Breeders’ Cup on 3-4 November in Santa Anita, California.
